STENHOUSEMUIR v. GRETNA MATCH REPORT
Saturday
2nd October
Gretna
Dominate once more as they comfortably win over a struggling
Stenhousemuir at Ochilview Park.
It only took Gretna 23 minutes to capitalise on the poor
Stenhousemuir defence. A whipped in cross from Ryan Baldachino
was headered in by Kenny Deucher.
Stenhousemuir
did not have many chances in the first half, mainly because
of the strong Gretna defence,so half time and the score
was 1:0. Gretna should of had more.
After the restart Brian Gilfillan and Gavin Skelton had
good chances to increase the lead.
A cross from Skelton, Chested down by Bingham then coolly
placed past the keeper Willie McCulloch. Now it was 2:0
with 33 minutes remaining.
Gretna
had a Plenty of chances after this but it took a defensive
blunder by Stenhousemuir's joint manager Tony Smith to
open the door for Bingham once again.
When
Smith totally mis-hit a pass it left Bingham with the
simplest of chances and he scored the final goal that
finished Stenhousemuirs chances.
